As promised, here's my latest take on the famous Batmobile of DC Comic fame. This car is a heavily modified Volkswagen Karmann Ghia of 1960's vintage. (Batman meets Get Smart?)

Of course, the original air-cooled VW gas-sipper has been replaced with the mandatory dual jet turbines with rocket assist. (There goes that secret luggage space behind the back seat.)

50-cals under the hood made it necessary to pull the spare, so we fit her with bullet-proof-kevlar run-flats on steel rims all around. That little 5W laser pointing out from under the deck is just for aiming. The 500W CO2 laser just to the right is the kind we kids of the 60's remember melting holes through three-foot-thick armor plating. (There goes our milage, I guess.)

The black fins hold the car to the ground at speed (most of the time), and those bat-headlights are there just to be cool.
